Confusion As Nigerian Banks Reject Old Naira Notes Despite Supreme Court Ruling | Sahara ReportersMost banks customers were confused on Monday as commercial banks rejected the old Naira notes they wanted to deposit. This is despite a Supreme Court ruling stopping the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) from implementing the February 10, 2023 deadline for swapping of old Naira notes for the newly redesigned Naira notes. Why do I have the feeling that that the banks and Central Bank wants to frustrate the people into taking to the streets in protest? Who's trying to manipulate the system? There's this thinking in Nigeria that the supreme court can tell others what to do, I'm not sure that's the case. Lol. Does Buhari respect Supreme Court judgements? If He did, Nnamdi Kanu would be a free man today.
