Rights activist and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, has lambasted the Central Bank of Nigeria for allegedly flouting the interim injunction of the Supreme Court suspending the implementation of the February 10 deadline on the use of the old banknotes.

that the CBN had moved the deadline earlier set for the expiration of the legal tender status of the old notes from January 31 to February 10 after the CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele, met with the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari .

Nigerians have been groaning under the pain caused by the deadline as they are unable to get the new notes, while the old notes are being sold to them by Point of Sales vendors. The Supreme Court, however, granted an interim injunction on February 8 restraining the CBN and the Federal Government from implementing the February 10 deadline.

But Falana, during a live appearance on Channels TV’s The 2023 Verdict on Tuesday, said the government was not ready to comply with the order, a report by Channels TV says. “In a country where the rule of law operates, once the Supreme Court has determined a matter or given an order, it is expected that all and sundry – everybody – will comply with the order,” Falana said.

Falana should talk to his fellow lawyer who allow their client to abuse judges when they give rulings that are not favourable to them.

Let him shift please. Always sounding as if he is the best lawyer in the world. Now we know why they hurriedly rushed to supreme court without any consideration for jurisprudence. They expected even cats and dogs to heed to that antipeople injunction. 'Cabals don cut give am'.

Abi falz papa sef na thief in disguise because to hide bad character under English fluency easy oo

Wahala be redesign of new naria notes, sick and tired of shifting deadline.

Falana shouldn’t be calling out CBN , he should focus on the President. Buhari is the one calling the shots. Why can’t there be a press conference from the President explaining to people in real time on what he’s doing to arresting this crisis. None! Falana , please!

Confusion As Nigerian Banks Reject Old Naira Notes Despite Supreme Court Ruling | Sahara ReportersMost banks customers were confused on Monday as commercial banks rejected the old Naira notes they wanted to deposit. This is despite a Supreme Court ruling stopping the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) from implementing the February 10, 2023 deadline for swapping of old Naira notes for the newly redesigned Naira notes. Why do I have the feeling that that the banks and Central Bank wants to frustrate the people into taking to the streets in protest? Who's trying to manipulate the system? There's this thinking in Nigeria that the supreme court can tell others what to do, I'm not sure that's the case. Lol. Does Buhari respect Supreme Court judgements? If He did, Nnamdi Kanu would be a free man today.
