Boris Johnson under pressure to resign as Supreme Court rules decision to prorogue UK parliament as unlawfulBoris Johnson is facing multiple calls to resign as a result of the historic ruling.

On Tuesday, Lady Hale, president of the court, revealed the unanimous decision of all 11 justices was that parliament had not been prorogued and that the decision was null and of no effect.In late August, Boris Johnson formally advised The Queen to prorogue parliament, which came into effect in early September, with parliament not due to reconvene until 14 October.
