Lady Hale, the President of the Supreme Court, announced that the prorogation order was void and should be quashed – meaning that in law parliament has not been prorogued. “This was an absolutely momentous decision,” Scottish National Party MP Joanna Cherry, who brought the case in Scotland, said.— Jo Maugham QC September 24, 2019 Source: Jo Maugham QC/TwitterSpeaking at the Labour Party conference, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn said that ruling demonstrates Johnson’s “contempt for democracy and an abuse of power”.
