'Parliament has not been prorogued', rules the UK Supreme Court |

The prime minister advised the Queen on 28 August to prorogue parliament for five weeks, and it was suspended on 9 September until 14 October.

The Supreme Court heard appeals over three days arising out of separate legal challenges in England and Scotland, in which leading judges reached different conclusions.British PM will 'comply' with any Supreme Court ruling At today's ruling, Lady Hale said the UK parliament can meet "as soon as possible" as Boris Johnson's suspension of parliament in the run-up to Brexit, was "void and of no effect".
