Rape-murder convict freed under GCTA yields to MPD

The convict, who surrendered at around 10 a.m., was presented to Lt. Col. Julius Añonuevo, chief of the Pandacan Police Station.According to police, the man, whose name was withheld, was found guilty of two counts of homicide and three counts of rape on June 26, 1993.

He was sentenced to three terms of reclusion perpetua, each of which is equivalent to 40 years of imprisonment./atm
