TACLOBAN City – An 86-year old rape convict, who was released from prison based on the Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA) law, voluntarily surrendered to authorities Friday.

– An 86-year old rape convict, who was released from prison based on the Good Conduct Time Allowance law, voluntarily surrendered to authorities Friday.

He had served his sentence of reclusion perpetua for qualified rape for 18 years prior to his release. He was freed on March 22, 2019, because of his good standing at Leyte Regional Prison in Abuyog, Leyte.
