The Department of Justice guidelines say that a sitting president cannot be charged with a crime. 9News

'Very substantial evidence' Trump is 'guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors', House Judiciary Chair says

"The office of legal counsel indicates that we cannot indict a sitting president, so one of the tools that a prosecutor would use is not there."In leaving the door open for charges once Mr Trump leaves office, Mr Mueller puts the president under extraordinary pressure. Mr Mueller is notoriously by-the-book, and made every effort in his testimony today to rebuff attempts from either party to get a juicy quote on the record."So it's fair to say the President tried to protect himself by asking staff to falsify records relevant to an ongoing investigation," Democratic Congressman Cedric Richmond asked.

"The investigation found substantial evidence that when the President ordered Don McGahn to fire the special counsel and then lie about it, Donald Trump, one, committed an obstructive act," Mr Jeffries said.

It's the only way the person in that position can carpet bomb other nations without a worry...

Trump was not colluding with Putin. However if Papadopoulos had his way Trump would have met with the Russians regarding the Hillary ‘dirt’ emails (from DNC hack?). Every country tries to hack every other country, that’s rather obvious. Trump was a friendlier candidate for Russia

Give it a rest and just please move on.

It’s ridiculous!

That's a great legal system. One man is allowed to act with no fear of retribution whilst any other politician or public servant would be dragged over burning coal.

This isn't news. This is common knowledge. Or are you pointing this out for a reason? BiasedMedia fakenews

It’s embarrassing you’re calling this news. Do some work.

You realise Mueller retracted that statement. fakenews

Mueller says his report “did not exonerate Trump” | Sky News AustraliaFormer special counsel Robert Mueller has confirmed his report 'did not conclude that the president did not commit the obstruction of justice', while adding he 'did not exonerate' Trump.\n\nMr Mueller appeared before the House Judiciary Committee after months of pressure from Democrats.\n\nHe answered questions from both sides of United States politics on his report into Russian electoral interference and any possible links to President Donald Trump’s campaign.\n\nHe also told the hearing that Donald Trump wanted to fire him when he headed up the Russia probe and the President refused a request to be interviewed by his team.\n\nImage: AP \n That's a long and painful way of saying that they don't have enough evidence to indict Trump or *anyone* else. Prosecutors either indict or they don't indict. They do not exonerate. What an unmitigated disaster for the Democrats. And they did it to themselves. Again.
