Trump says he wants 2020 census delayed after Supreme Court setback on citizenship question

"Seems totally ridiculous that our government, and indeed Country, cannot ask a basic question of Citizenship in a very expensive, detailed and important Census, in this case for 2020," Trump says on Twitter.

"I have asked the lawyers if they can delay the Census, no matter how long, until the [...] United States Supreme Court is given additional information from which it can make a final and decisive decision on this very critical matter," he wrote.

Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, who oversees the census, had argued that the question is needed to better enforce certain provisions of the Voting Rights Act. That explanation was rejected by three federal courts before being tossed out by the justices.

SCOTUS stated that the question was legal. The case was remanded ultimately back to Commerce to provide more info on reasons. Not dead. When naming motives be sure to raise that the Left wants to maximize of non-citizens to increase seats in strongholds. Nobody here is pure.

Isn’t the census mandated by the constitution? Kind of like his adherence to the Bible...picks and chooses what to support while claiming full doctrine.
