The Chairman of the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal, Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa, has withdrawn from the tribunal.
The PDP and Abubakar had based their application, among other things, on the ground that Justice Bulkachuwa is the wife of Mr Adamu Bulkachuwa a prominent card-carrying member of the All Progressive Congress and Senator-elect for Bauchi north senatorial district which is a political party involved in the suit.
Justice Ige added that the fact that she is married to a Senator-elect who along with her son are in the APC will not foist any room for bias in the case.
I salute your courage madam God will bless you abundantly. If it's a man now he will not step down. Men should learn from these courageous women.
APC is a scam nd madam judge is playing their game, just killing time in other to delay judgement
PDP_2019 Our loom is cool, full of responsible people, just come loom with 13k and cash out with 86k after 7 days, you can call it online ajooooo or isusu
Alas! one branch(the judiciary)of the Nigeria government is regaining her sanity..... the court must always be seen as an impartial temple of justice
Her husband na PDP governor before
Mary Odili na toro woman but her husband na PDP overnight before.
Why madam
A d
Is she not a fraud or does she think she is dealing with daft APC chieftains. When she knew she is married to an APC senator elect and reasonableness reveals she would be biased then what was she doing on the panel let alone chairing it.
Integrity personified
Nigeria is drifting into old stone age. We allow evil to overthrow institution that build nations away from us?. The politicians are pushing us into personalised institutional 0. PDP has proved one thing that Nigeria is built of individuals instead of institutional structures.
Better late than ever
She never see anything
Why did she wait for Nigerians to shout before she could rescue herself? That's means she had hidden agenda.
Better late than never. My worry is that she waited till the hue and cry got to the crescendo stage before doing the right thing.
Will that make any difference, other members of the panel were appointed or nominated by her- most likely her loyalists. Isn’t it Nigeria again, Nigerian Judiciary is under siege.
PDP is grabbing at straws. This same Justice Bulkachuwa's husband was a PDP member between 2003-2011 & presided over opposition parties' cases. Justice Mary Odili a staunch PDP member's wife sat on Rivers APC matter in 2015 that looked into relocation of tribunal to Abuja...
Right step.
These one too open, just vamoose.
That means Bode Vivour-Rhodes & Mary Peter-Odili are already out when it gets to the Supreme Court.
Wahala dey bidat.
Next is Mary Odili.
She was Forced Out! The HEAT became unbearably unbearable
Wow, she is a wonderful woman.
Thank you, Honourable Justice Bulkachuwa. There's no better way to prove your neutrality.
She was forced to, if she wanted to, she would have from day1 ,this is not breaking abegi.
The tribunal ought not to have gone on this unnecessary trip, if she had done the honourable & needful thing. The facts were there before their tribunal members were constituted. And, the application dismissal thereof troubling indeed & grave.
Justice Zainab Adamu Bulkachuwa, you are a familiarity threat to the ongoing Presidential Election Petition Tribunal. Your husband is a member of APC and your son campaigns for Buhari so Justice can not prevail under your nose.
Now what next? At least she has saved us the headache of a future round of arguments for or against that will make one wonder sometimes of some persons reason faculty.
Who appoints the next chairperson..........?
Lol...I love your caption of the story 😂
This is what she should have done without a petition as a professional. She obviously ain't from the look of things. Good riddance
Happy to hear this news.... now let the battle begin hopefully PDP will not hav anymore excuses to give for their failure
So all these while you were waiting to be reminded to do the proper thing, Ma?
Lataro!!!
Good move
She should not have been appointed in the first place.
