Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa has recused herself from the Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja. The People's democratic party had asked Justice Bulkachuwa to recuse herself because she is married to a senator-elect of the All Progressives Congress.

PDP is grabbing at straws. This same Justice Bulkachuwa's husband was a PDP member between 2003-2011 & presided over opposition parties' cases. Justice Mary Odili a PDP staunch member's wife sat on Rivers APC matter in 2015 that looked into relocation of tribunal to Abuja...

Don't know why it had to get this far. There was a clear conflict of interest. Maybe she was BANKING on the fact Conflict of interest is usually an alien term in Nigerian society.
