.KKeneally on Luke Creasey: He has stood aside for the good of the Party. What he said and posted some seven years ago now, while it's stupid and immature, in light of further revelations it's right that he stood down. MORE: Speers ausvotes

Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s campaign has been derailed by the resignation of Liberal candidate for Lyons, Jessica Whelan. Ms Whelan has been accused of saying Muslims should be banned from Australia and Sharia Law supporters should have their genitals mutilated. While she vehemently denies making the 'vulgar' slurs, she has admitted to previously making 'inappropriate' comments on social media.

Mr Morrison accepted Ms Whelan’s resignation on Friday, saying her views ‘do not represent the views of the Liberal Party’. Meanwhile, the Labor Party is navigating candidate problems of its own, after 29-year-old candidate for Melbourne Luke Creasey resigned on Friday over his own social media scandal. After making a rape joke online when he was 22, Mr Creasey issued a statement on Friday saying he will be withdrawing as a Labor candidate.

PeterDutton_MP We're happy to be distracted until PeterDutton_MP is gone too...

PeterDutton_MP Not being an arsehole matters to most of us.

PeterDutton_MP says a member of a party/Govt with no discernible policies other than to feed the fat cats and corps that pay them off as a benefit

PeterDutton_MP I feel like racism, sexism and blatant bullshit are all things which most people find relevant when choosing their leaders

PeterDutton_MP Yes I actually agree with PeterDutton_MP - let’s discuss the real issues. Is he legitimately in parliament himself? Why Australia is abusing human rights in the name of security. And who did the watergate $$ go to AusVotes19

PeterDutton_MP “Paid a price”, as if it was harsh.

PeterDutton_MP You'd think Dutton would be grateful for the distraction. Important issues like $400 mill Paladin contracts. Record numbers of asylum seekers. Child safety in immigration detention. $2.3 billion of unexplained expenditure. Dude, you LOVE the candidate chaos. 😂😂 auspol

PeterDutton_MP Who is the mentally challenged on sky saying she wants to know Bill Shortens view on adani 🤔🤔

PeterDutton_MP Yeah you're right. No one cares about politicians being racist or sexist. That's why they had to withdraw from the election. Honestly, do you even logic?

PeterDutton_MP This bloke will be voted out. Politics will be better for it

PeterDutton_MP Vote 1 Ali France, Ali will be a fantastic member for Dickson

PeterDutton_MP I wrote with proof to Duttons office and Home Affairs about a guy who cheated the system for 15k to marry in to the country. From near Dutton at 44 Golden Street, Logan Central, Queensland. But nothing has been done in a year. Dutton only cares about headlines or Au Pairs, boats.

PeterDutton_MP Put the whistle away have you Rover. When do you plan on using it again.

PeterDutton_MP Getting rid of you and your maggoty friends would be top of that list closely followed by putting you before and ICAC. Any comment on au pairs, Christmas Is, Cash for criminal immigrants, child care fraud 8 Billion dollars unaccounted for? should we go on. You are dead to us too

PeterDutton_MP The goul has surfaced....

PeterDutton_MP The LNP candidates in bennelong and Herbert haven’t paid a price. Scott Morrison is too gutless to make them stand down!

PeterDutton_MP 99.9% of people would like decent candidates, Pete. And you're the cruelest, most heinous of them all. When you have to make your wife vouch for you not being a monster, you've got problems.

PeterDutton_MP Here we go again straight to labor instead of taking responsibility

If there are no real policy implications, we shouldn't care.
