Arrest warrant issued for Sydney Mines man; Cape Breton court report for April 11, 2024

An arrest warrant has been issued for a Sydney Mines man who was to appear in court to set a trial on charges including tobacco offences.

Provincial court Judge Dan MacRury has asked both sides for further submissions noting the assault was brutal and involved an intimate partner. She was charged in connection with an attack on two male senior citizens at home in North Sydney on July 10, 2023.A Sydney man has been prohibited from driving for two years as part of a sentence on charges of driving while disqualified and resisting arrest.
