The police handlers of Nicola Gobbo, the former barrister also known as Lawyer X, were not interviewed for a scathing report which ultimately led to their unit being shut down, the royal commission into the scandal hears.

The handlers of Nicola Gobbo, the former barrister and police informer known as Lawyer X, were"thrown under the bus" by police command when their unit was shut down, the royal commission into the scandal has heard.

Mr Chettle pointed out several flaws in the report which he argued were based on bias and a lack of understanding of the handling of human sources.

Victoria police what won't they do?

Any person who was involved in removing peoples basic rights to a fair trial, should have been sacked as soon as this came to light. We have huge numbers of people who have never gotten a fair trial. That is not a democracy, that is an authoritarian state.
