Justice Oluremi Oguntoyibo, ordered that Uche Johnson, Olaide Shittu, Kingsley Meteke and Abdulquadri Olayinka be remanded, pending ruling in their bail application on March 19.The Federal Government charge the defendants with four counts of production, possession, dealing on and distribution of substandard products.After their arraignment, the prosecutor, Mr J.

On his part, defence counsel Mr S. U Nweze, informed the court of a bail application filed on behalf of the defendants, urging the court to grant them bails on liberal terms. In the charge, the defendants were alleged to have indulged in production for public consumption, engine oil which did not meet mandatory industrial standards.`Okada’ rider, welder docked over alleged N1.5m fraud

The products were said to have failed to comply with the Standards Organisation of Nigeria’s Conformity Assessment Programme. According to the prosecution, the offence contravened the provisions of sections 1 and 1 of the Miscellaneous Offences Act, 2004.
