There's a reason why the Law Council of Australia 'wholeheartedly' supports the Indigenous Voice to Parliament proposal – because it will be a lawyer's picnic, says Sky News host Amanda Stoker.

There’s a reason why the Law Council of Australia “wholeheartedly” supports the Indigenous Voice to Parliament proposal – because it will be a lawyer’s picnic, says Sky News host Amanda Stoker.

“And those matters relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples … that means everything. Not just native title and cultural heritage for instance, but tax, health, justice matters, security, economy, the environment – it’s the lot. “It would be madness to suggest that the matters that relate to Aboriginal people are somehow narrower than they would be for any other Australian.

“The consequence will be to throw sand in the gears of government. You think it’s hard to get a law, or a repeal, through the Senate now? You ain’t seen nothing yet. Imagine when you have to do all of that, plus negotiate it through the so-called Voice to Parliament, then through all the subsequent court challenges.

“It is bureaucracy and delay on steroids, and all the harm to prosperity that comes with a government in paralysis.”

The unelected fake politician says….. whatever Gina wants.

Amanda sought to be part of the parliament. The Australian public said no. Being a failed politician is not a basis for commenting on parliamentary practice.

Next Sky will be quoting Adolf Hitler

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ to be made Yahoo,

Behind all these social initiatives stand greedy bastards ready to rip the guts out of it at the cost of everyone else. Maybe we need a voice to explain where the 30+ billion dollars a years spent on aboriginal affairs goes now. There needs to be a royal commission

Cynical but accurate.

we should be proud we have 1 unified country But indigenous lobby wants to break us into tribal states like Africa Look at the gridlock n basket cases of poverty The voice would not fix Alice or Kimberley The minister is indigenous It is her job

Really? Why do all state governments, and the vast majority of corporations also support it? Please explain.....

Sky, home of has-beens and the unwanted dregs of the LNP

Amanda Stoker pushed division in parliament and was pushed out because of it, now as a failed commentator she is pushing division again, when will conservatives learn that division doesn’t win votes.

If the Indigenous Voice gets in. The best job in Austrlia will be a lawyers, judges. It will make you Filthy Rich.

The SKY is falling! Again and again and again...🙄

Stoker.. 🤣 😂 😅 😂

Dusting off the old Mabo arguments again?

Keep going, Sky News is helping the unwoke to make the transition to woke.

Disgusting of Murdoch press to question the integrity of the Law Council of Australia. MurdochGutterMedia

An advisory body will be a 'lawyers paradise'? Stoker is just spewing ignorant garbage, as always.

Stoker the voice of her lord and master Murdoch no wonder every thing Sky says is a bonus for labor.

keep talking sly spews... you have done a wonderful Job of ridding mainland Australia of the LNP Filth... keep talking you are doing a wonderful Job of ensuring the VoteYes wins in a landslide

The constitution is a rule book for governing. It serves all Australians equally. Singling out any group, no matter how well meaning, is repugnant. We have the same voice to parliament… one vote, one value. With the details hidden until after the vote, you’d be nuts to vote yes.

At least the aboriginal community can take back their land control mines by closing them down so not to destroy sacred sites negotiate royalties with gas and mines .

Stoker your a Murdoch arse gravy stenograher nothing more...

They are counting on soft, left judges. That is how they won Mabo.

DIE SJW ESG. What did Shakespeare say about lawyers?

Voice to Parliament to be heard ‘loud and clear’: SA Attorney-GeneralSouth Australia Attorney-General Kyam Maher says the laws of state and colony have “deliberately” disempowered and disenfranchised Indigenous people and by establishing a voice to parliament in SA will ensure it is heard “loud and clear'. “In decades and centuries gone by, the laws of our state and the colony that preceded it have done so much to deliberately disenfranchise, disempower and disadvantage Aboriginal people, today we use those laws to do exactly the opposite,” Mr Maher said during a media conference on Sunday. “South Australia now leads the nation by legislating for a First-Nations Voice, a voice that’s empowered to speak to the parliament – directly to the decision-makers who’ve so often struggled to make meaningful change, a voice that will help decision-makers create enduring, positive change for the future. “Friends, today isn’t the end of a journey, it’s the beginning, enshrining a voice to parliament in law is the first step in our commitment to the full implementation of the Uluru Statement From The Heart – voice, truth, treaty and we’ll deliver on all three.” “The Voice to Parliament will be heard loud and clear in shaping the approach to the tasks ahead – today we’ve lit a beacon of hope for the nation.” I thought the pre-federation colonial South Australia allowed Aboriginals the vote which was rescinded from 1901-67. Hardly colonial disempowerment. I bet he’s not specific in any way about the laws he claims are racist. Zzzzzzzz
