BREAKING Tuesday's vote stands as a direct confrontation with the Supreme Court, whose conservative majority in overturning Roe v. Wade abortion access signaled that other rights may be in jeopardy.

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. House overwhelmingly approved legislation Tuesday to protect same-sex and interracial marriages amid concerns that the Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe v. Wade abortion access could jeopardize other rights criticized by many conservative Americans.

"Imagine telling the next generation of Americans, my generation, we no longer have the right to marry," he said."Congress can't allow that to happen." Approval of interracial marriage in the U.S. hit a six-decade high at 94% in September, according to Gallup. In fact, of all the Republicans who rose to speak during the morning debate, almost none directly broached the subject of same-sex or interracial marriage.

But in a notable silence, Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell declined to express his view on the bill, leaving an open question over how strongly his party would fight it, if it even comes up for a vote in the upper chamber.

Incorrect, biased headline. Not surprising from a station related to Disney—the most anti-family, anti-American business on Earth.

House passes bill to protect same-sex marriage in effort to counter Supreme CourtThe Democrat-led House of Representatives on Tuesday voted to pass a bill that would enshrine protections for same-sex marriage into federal law. But it’s not clear whether the bill can pass the Senate. When is that last time literally ANYTHING passed the Senate aside from the toothless gun bill? Will they pass a bill to void Pelosi's husband to make profit on 'inside information' to buy shares? WHAT ABOUT the Democrat-led House of Representatives voting to pass a bill that would enshrine protections for ALL NEEDED ABORTIONS into federal law? Don’t DISCRIMINATE AGAINST WOMEN!
