This is one of the rare instances where an officer is, in fact, on trial. But what’s even more of a rarity is that we are witnessing other cops testify against their peer.No matter the outcome of this trial, this in itself is a powerful indicator of a few things: By showing the world on national television that cops are willing to call out other cops when they see misconduct, it shows that things can, in fact, change.
The challenge, of course, is to translate this accountability beyond the case of Floyd so that we don't keep finding ourselves here, fighting for justice in the death of another unarmed Black man who never should have died at the hands of an institution sworn to protect and serve.About 1,000 fatal shootings by police are reported each year in this country, and

TheRevAl Can we stop with this? Really. These cops aren't heroic. The cameras were rolling and the world was watching. So many times we've gotten silence from police when those two conditions were not present. It just speaks to the cowardice of law enforcement.
TheRevAl The fact that he has any defenders of the actions and the other cops are not accomplices to murder is beyond the beyond as far as videos go. Not one cop in nearly 10 minutes set all right that’s enough. Not even one!
TheRevAl This is to say they did something and then go right back to doing the same old same old. Let us see if the trend becomes a mantra and actually leads to structural change. Watch the actions of the Police Unions, because that is where the biggest problems are.

TheRevAl South border has really become a crisis, they’re estimating 35,000 children shortly, apparently all of Central America and Mexico are sending their children in hopes that they become citizens and pull in their parents to jump immigration policies into the USA.

TheRevAl I know whites want everyone to believe police cant do wrong. But if youre a blackman and get pulled over unarmed you may be killed because white officer's are petrified of unarmed blackmen. If there that afraid they need a new line of work.
TheRevAl It’s a monumental start. Still, the fallacious ‘bad apple’ message is what many will take away from this trial. Let’s see the trial after this, and the next one.
TheRevAl We need waaaaaay more if this. If you truly are a “good cop,” you won’t stand by quietly and continue to protect your colleagues for their terrible behavior. Narcissistic, ego-driven, authoritarian cops have GOT TO GO! They suuuuucccckkkkkk.
