Cause of death examined as Floyd murder trial enters second week | Sky News AustraliaThe trial of former Minneapolis Police officer Derek Chauvin who is charged with the murder of George Floyd has entered its second week.\n\nThe court has heard from the doctor who pronounced the 46-year-old dead half an hour after he was brought to emergency. \n\nDr. Bradford Langenfeld said he received a report from paramedics detailing what happened at the scene. \n\nThe report revealed Mr Floyd did not have a pulse when they arrived and did not receive any CPR from bystanders or police.\n\nHe also noted paramedics did not say whether they thought he overdosed or had a heart attack but Dr Langenfeld says he most likely died of suffocation. \n\nThe Minneapolis Police Chief also testified saying his recruits were trained in the department's de-escalation policy and their goal was to resolve any situation as safely as possible. \n Should have been finished after the video tape was played.
