A plan submitted to police by organiser Paddy Gibson said an estimated 500 people would walk from Town Hall to Parliament House to present a petition calling for the NSW Director of Public Prosecutions to consider criminal charges against the prison guards who restrained Mr Dungay.. Tuesday's rally is planned to coincide with the first sitting day of the NSW lower house.
In submissions filed in the Supreme Court, the protest organisers said the acting assistant commissioner took "no more than 17 minutes" to read "the detailed representations and information from the conferral process".The NSW Court of Appeal – Chief Justice Tom Bathurst, Court of Appeal President Andrew Bell and Justice Robert Macfarlan – dismissed the appeal and will publish reasons at a later date.
"Conducting a protest at this time is highly irresponsible. We're in a pandemic," Ms Berejiklian said. "We only have to have a look at what's happening in Victoria, to realise that in a few weeks if we let our guard down, that could be us - this thing takes off very quickly. And we have to be on high alert."
Good. BLM BLMprotest
Good. They're just posers for the camera.
All for the cause they have but kinda low key hoping cops turn up & crack some heads of these clowns who organised this protest during a pandemic & whilst cases are on the rise.
It was never really about black lives tho. It was really about socialism/Marxism.
Did they want to protest on Tuesday because none of them have a job or go to school?
Stay home
Only their sanctimony matter, not your health or lives.
Sooo, if courts can stop protests, even ones you disagree with, is that a good thing? Unelected people deciding what can happen? Mmm, sorta reminds me of something.
i like to see all that wankers black lives white idiots in jail if they come to protest they have no LIFE they are the trash of the CITY uselles people get them .jail them $$$fine them problem solve for everyone
A sensible decision in the midst of a once in a century pandemic . Marching tomorrow won’t advance the cause for justice and I think people are unfortunately being manipulated by the wrong influencers if they think it is still OK to go ahead .
Good
