The victim’s mother Norfauziah Jamalham, 68, said her family was grateful that justice was finally served.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Fairul’s father Mokhtar Tan, 62, said the family had never failed to attend the criminal proceedings over the past three years. Earlier, when Abdul Halim was reading out the verdict, Norfauziah had to be carried by her husband out of the courtroom, as she is suffering from heart problems., while Muhammad Fairul’ siblings were in tears and seen hugging each other after the verdict was delivered.
