JUST IN: New York Gov. Cuomo signs a measure that would allow the state to pursue charges against people who have received a presidential pardon — a law seen as a direct shot at President Trump.

over two hush money payments during the 2016 campaign to women who claim they had affairs with the president.

Mueller's 400-plus page report scrutinized Trump's comments on possibly pardoning Manafort as well as ex-longtime attorney Michael Cohen, who was involved in the hush payments, and former national security adviser Michael Flynn. The New York measure was backed by state Attorney General Letitia James, who began investigating the finances of the president and the Trump Organization.

James has said the law was necessary because double jeopardy"exists to prevent someone from being charged twice for the same crime, not to allow them to evade justice altogether."

WNYT Get that partisan hack out of office.

What’s the point of a pardon then?

Wonderful Gov. Cuomo.

This may turn out to be much more about the possibility of Pence pardoning Trump, rather than Trump's pardon of others.

I pitty them at this point...Dems just keep chasing their own tail!

Yeah, i support another law he's advocating for, the law that says all other laws aren't laws....maybe he forgot the definition of the word Pardon!

GOOD

Hey sure why not ...I think any President into whom an Impeachment Investigation is launched should have their Pardon privileges withdrawn for any and all witnesses. Those influence wings need a good clipping.

Rule of Law!!!
