LONDON - British lawmakers are preparing legal action in case Prime Minister Boris Johnson tries to defy legislation compelling him to seek a further delay to Brexit, opposition Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn said on Saturday.
He has said he has no intention of seeking an extension and would rather “die in a ditch” than delay Brexit. “In conventional cases...individuals who are in contempt of court and fail to purge their contempt are liable to be committed to prison,” Ken MacDonald, who served as DPP from 2003 to 2008 and now sits in the Lords, told Sky News.
Johnson failed to win enough support in a vote on Wednesday for an election. Another vote is scheduled for Monday.
The MP’s stopped their version of trump in his slimy tracks. They have courage unlike republicans here.
LockBorisUp and throw the key away. I usually say foul things to the NamelessRacistMF POTUS, but it is not quite the same feeling when I am saying horrible things against Boris as I am a Conservative and used to like him a lot.
Lawyers always do well either way
... As vicious as 45*.
Johnson is crumbling like a house of cards.
Shocking. Truly shocking.
