HONG KONG - Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam said on Tuesday that “lawbreaking activities in the name of freedom” were damaging the rule of law and that the Asian financial hub’s recovery from anti-government protests could take a long time. Her comments come after China said the anti-government protests that have swept the city over the past two months had begun to show “sprouts of terrorism”.

The whole argument of the protest is who’s law they want to follow

Carrie Lam is a murderer.

Just ask for Chinese help and it will take just a few minutes to end all this mess.

It means they gonba jail couple of thousands people

It's your rule that's the problem !

We are about to see some unfortunate changes in HK governance soon. The blame is on the protesters. China has no other option than to stop the worsening unrest. The ones in charge of the protests surely know it. hongkong hkriots ExtraditionBill

Recovery will begin when Lam resigns.

Very long....if ever. Now, especially after 2014, China will make sure it is even less reliant on Hong Kong! RiskManagement101 So 2047 will ....IN FACT...happen faster...and HK just become one ...minor city in China!

请把“中国共产党”列为非法组织和恐怖组织!把共产党统治的中国政府列为非法政府!感谢! Please recognise the CCP as an illegal organisation and terrorist organisation ! The Chinese government ruled by communist party as an illegal government! Thank you! 🙏🙏🙏

it's a bit like wrecking a noodle shop because you suddenly don't like their noodles. in retrorespects, it is an immature thing to do. but your dads and uncles of course will always be understanding, unless they have a different family 🙂

Time to attack!!! Only few westerners and give democracy to the people. Play their game on them.

Carrie Lam Is The Poster Girl For Rule Of Lawlessness. She Is Beijing's Mascot Of Tyranny. She Should Resign Now

But who is to blame, why were Chinese so quick in moving on extradition bill....

Hey China in 28 years Hong Kong will be under your full control. Be patient. Let the people of HK have their democratic ways for just a little longer and when time is up HKers will surely come to a realization that your will is not to be ignored if they wish to continue living...

The rule of communist oppression is being damaged.

You are trying to remove democracy that has ruled the province for 100 years. Your bosses in Beijing are little Chinese men, frightened of democracy & can only think of brute force, their method of control. Why countries do business with them is because of their Capitalist greed?

there are no benefits to replacing her. even if it means for real putting in a democratic system. they'll still gripe and complain.

Got damaged when you were placed there as Chinese puppet.

The rule of law is based on the will of the people. People come first in a democracy

It happens because you misjudge the situation.

Young Lady, Kill those sons of bitches! Let them learn how to respect the RULE OF LAW. Do not let tiananmen square incident be the last in China. Give HongKongProtests a new name. Make the people in Main-Land China proud of you. CNN NYTimes WashingtonPost
