Decision to axe Jiba and Mrwebi still stands, says Ramaphosa

His spokesperson Khusela Diko said the decision Ramaphosa took earlier this year to axe the pair was separate from the attempt by the General Council of the Bar to have the pair disbarred.

The Supreme Court of Appeal had earlier ruled in favour of Jiba and Mrwebi, overturning a ruling by the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria that had ordered they be struck from the roll of advocates. Diko said the inquiry was whether the pair were fit and proper persons to hold the lofty positions they did in the National Prosecuting Authority and that they were fired on the recommendation of the inquiry.

The constitutional court decision didn't changed our President Ramaphosa's decision to fire the two former NPA members!!!!! Constitutional court decision was based on their career as registered lawyers not on their employment as government law enforcement agencies!!!!

Didn't Ramaphosa fire Jiba on recommendations of Mokgoro commission on the basis that they were going to be struck off the Advocates roll? If the president is smart enough this case will muddy his face.

Ramaphosa needs to strategize on how to get rid of this two otherwise he will taint his name and image
