Korean actor Park Bo-gum starred alongside Song Hye-kyo in the hit TV series 'Encounter' in 2018.

On 6/27/19 at 6:25 AM EDTThe agency representing Korean actor Park Bo-gum will take legal action against rumors he is involved in the divorce of celebrity couple Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo.

Song Joong-ki, 33, announced on Thursday that he had filed for divorce from 37-year-old Song Hye-kyo after being married for 20 months. Following the announcement, rumors spread online that Park was involved. The 26-year-old featured in the Korean TV dramawith fellow actor Song Hye-kyo from November 2018 to January 2019, where they played a young man and an older woman who fall in love.

Following the online speculation, Park's agency, Blossom Entertainment, released a statement condemning the allegations as false, and that legal action would be taken against the source of the rumor. "Park Bo-gum, who recently starred in the drama with Song Hye-kyo, is unexpectedly mentioned in the rumor. It is offensive that Park's name is mentioned in the divorce. The agency will take strong action against groundless rumors regarding Park. Rumors about Park Bo-gum and Song Hye-kyo are absolutely not true," an official from the agency said.Both Park and Song Joong-ki are represented by Blossom Entertainment.

Meanwhile, Song Hye-kyo's label UAA Korea also released a statement announcing the reasons for the split."The reason for their separation is the differences in their personalities, and the two ultimately came to this decision as they were unfortunately unable to overcome their differences," the agency added.
