The Supreme Court has some big decisions to make that could affect American democracy for the next decade and beyond.

Supreme Court faces 12 decisions this week, including census citizenship question and partisan gerrymanderingWASHINGTON – The Supreme Court has some big decisions to make in the next few days that could affect American democracy for the next decade and beyond.

Tops on the list are two major cases with huge political implications. The court must decide whether to let the Trump administration ask about citizenship in the 2020 census, and whether to uphold or strike down congressional district maps in North Carolina and Maryland that were drawn for partisan gain.

If either the North Carolina or Maryland maps are declared unconstitutional, it would mark the first time the Supreme Court has struck down a state's redistricting work for partisan, rather than racial, reasons. That could affect other states as well, including Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin.

Don’t expect justice from the Supreme Court rather expect rulings that reflect the political articulation of its members ideologies. Democracy is broken the world over and it is to the progressive left to offer solutions that bring our societies back to sanity. Time is short.

And hopefully they hold up our Constitution and allow the census question, only citizens have the right the vote in America. ImpeachCongress

Census, redistricting top remaining Supreme Court casesThe Supreme Court enters its final week of decisions with two politically charged issues unresolved, whether to rein in political line-drawing for partisan gain and allow a citizenship question on the 2020 census. So citizenship census questions is on and stopping gerrymandering is off. Got it. Seems reasonable to question how many citizens live in an area if one wants to base representation off of it. Can’t wait for the Supremes to rule 5–4 that the citizenship question on the census is OK. In addition to that being the right call, the leftist meltdown on Twitter will be…
