Witness drops bombshell while testifying during court-martial of a decorated Navy SEAL accused of murdering a teenage ISIS prisoner: he, not the man on trial, is responsible for the killing -- and was granted immunity to testify.

A prosecution witness testifying during the court-martialin 2017 dropped a bombshell in court: he is responsible for the killing.

During Thursday's hearing, U.S. Navy SEAL Corey Scott admitted on the stand that he saw Special Operations Chief Edward Gallagher stab an injured fighter in the neck, but said the stabbing did not kill the fighter. Gallagher is being court-martialed for killing the fighter in Iraq in 2017 and also the attempted murder of two civilians he allegedly shot from a sniper's perch. He's pleaded not guilty.

Wth?

I love how the message is 'yes he stabbed the prisoner while he was unconscious, but it didn't kill him. I finished him off.' As if that proves the first guy's innocence.

Chief was accused of stabbing ISIS prisoner in neck to kill him but evidence and testimony yesterday shows no stab wound in neck of ISIS prisoner. Oopsy daisy.

O.J. did it.

Wow...not planned at all

They can both go to jail

Nice try.

How convenient.

GRANTED IMMUNITY SO CAN CONFESS THEN NEITHER CAN BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE CRIME. NICE TRICK

Isis =bad

DavidAFrench This is yet another hard blow to the very sloppy prosecution.

DavidAFrench Of course the jury doesn’t necessarily have to believe him.

DavidAFrench Now isn’t _that_ convenient.

DavidAFrench Holy moly

DavidAFrench Thank you for your service! Isn’t that what you Americans say?

He's admitting to the murder because of his immunity deal & cannot be prosecuted for the murder. He's lying to keep his KILLER BUDDY out of prison, after murdering a child, when most kids are FORCED to join ISIS‼️Reminds me of George Zimmerman killing 15-yr-old Trayvon Martin‼️

Let's not forget this decorated Navy Seal is the Chief of Special Operations. God only knows how many other war crimes did he commit without witnesses or were covered up. It's not secret Rumsfeld's DOD covered up many more crimes against civilians in the early years of the war.

Planned much?

Yeah he's a hell of a man.

DavidAFrench what a nice out..

This dude stabbed a kid already captured, subdued and in custody in his chest for no reason and walked away. WarCrime He needs to go to Leavenworth.

He still stabbed a child prisoner in the neck.

Wow. The corruption involved in this mountain of horseshit is unbelievable.

For shame 😔

SenorKraken There should be no quarter for terrorist anyways......

Donny had mentioned a pardon for Seal. This is the End Run Pardon. 🤡🤡🤡🤡

Even if this is true, and the guy who did the suffocating did it because he knew the kid was going to die and be tortured by Iraqis... doesn't that make Gallagher still a guilty party of the murder... since it was his stabbing that put the kid in that position?

Not surprising. You’ve got to expect some real twisted people to sign up for that just so they go somewhere and mess with people. It’s just not the kind of thing normal people want to do to other people, or feel they’re entitled to do to other people...

Not sure they need to keep going. Looks like a dismissal motion is going to succeed now.

...Both men’s careers were over the minute it became public. The outcome will only matter to them, not to the military

Sounds like some kind of legal maneuver on the part of the defense. Clever. The confessor testified under immunity, so...nobody’s accountable? He’ll avoid jail time, but “retire”..really no such thing as “acquittal” in the military; they have a thing about “public spectacles”

These stories are so disturbing. I don't care what god/gods/lackthereof that you believe in...humans were never meant to behave this way. War is not necessary, as some would have you think. If we could only put money and religion aside...and focus on humanity...well, you know...

why are you even surprised?

2 DAY OLD NEWS!

Doesn’t sound likes it helps the guy on trial though.

MalcolmNance Justice for the few no matter how misguided

MalcolmNance He still shot a unarmed little girl and old man.

MalcolmNance Bullshit. This excuse for a man should be ashamed

MalcolmNance Under these facts, they’re both guilty of acting in concert murder.

MalcolmNance That's how you end a scene!

Dwammmmmmmmm
