Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton has told Sky News that ‘people of bad character can come, are able to come, and, in fact, are required to come under Labor’s (medevac) laws that they passed’.

Peter Dutton is urging Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese to team up with the government in repealing the ‘bad law’, which passed parliament in February.

The Home Affairs Minister has told Sky News that ‘people of bad character can come, are able to come, and, in fact, are required to come under Labor’s laws that they passed’, highlighting that 30 people have been to Australia under the medevac laws. Mr Dutton says there are 'some people of bad character' who have travelled to the mainland after the passage of the legislation.
