LOS ANGELES - Netflix Inc said on Tuesday it would “rethink” its film and television production investment in Georgia if a new law severely restricting abortion in the state is implemented, but will continue to work there for now.

It was the first major Hollywood producer to publicly comment on calls by some for an industry boycott of Georgia, a hub for film and television production. Georgia’s Republican governor signed into law on May 7 a ban on abortion after a doctor can detect a fetal heartbeat - about six weeks into a pregnancy, before many women know they are pregnant. The law is due to take effect on Jan. 1.

Who cares, I think Georgia was around before Netflix.

Could lead to the DOOM OF NETFLIX!

But will eventually cave to money

Self righteous hypocrisy - Netflix threatens anti-abortion states but ignores the FACT that Netflix's '13 Reasons Why' not only Glorifies Suicide, but is causing an increase in teen suicides

Good for you.............

Good thing I already cut Netflix because of their politics.

Susbcribers rethink subscriptions to company more worried about politics than creating good content...

I am thinking about to cancel my signature if NetflixBrasil become political.

nobody cares

ppl will watch netflix anyway, so they don't give a piece of tv show.

What a horrible thing trying to prevent the murder of unborn children. Truly disgusting, right?

What is there to think about? Just leave!

Every one has choices. Georgia made theirs and others can and should make theirs

Oh no, some other state will have to shell out millions in corporate welfare for the honor of having shows about teenage girls who electrocute people filmed in their state.

The film industry in Georgia after a stupid law.

I wonder exactly how many babies have been murdered in the United States.

Good. Let them live on their oppressive island alone.

We dropped NetFlix when those idiots paid the Obama’s tens of millions for their made-up “life story” rights! 🖕🖕🖕🖕

I, for one, will be watching credits for location, and will refuse to watch any production from the states with draconian abortion laws.

They can fuck right off as far as Georgians are concerned.

Bye Felicia

it's all about the money

Thank you!
