Hasanah’s lawyer apologised to the court and said that Hasanah was absent because she had failed to inform her client of the court proceeding.

Justice Collin Lawrence Sequerah issued the arrest warrant after DPP Mahadhir Mohd Khairudin informed the court that Hasanah failed to give any reason for her absence.

“I apologise for my mistake. As the lawyer, I should be informing my client that she must attend but I failed to do so. I hope she won’t be penalised for my action,” she said. The court, however, still issued the warrant and fixed June 26 for proceeding on the warrant. Nur Aifaa told the press that there was a misunderstanding as the defence had assumed that there was no proceeding yesterday as the case had already been fixed for trial starting Feb 3 next year.Last year, Hasanah claimed trial to committing criminal breach of trust involving US$12.1mil in government funds.

With a face like that....

No nonsense lh... Put her in jail

Ridiculous reason ! BAR should make action on such lawyer

Isn't her passport with the courts? So arrest her ASAP. The pace of things are becoming macam 'dulu-dulu' lah.

Wonder where and in what form she has hidden all her shares?

Main anjing also? 😂😂😂

Only one alibi although unbelievable is acceptable from either one, beyond that is contempt!!! GobindSinghDeo SUARAM_INTL mahwengkwai ramkarpal nsurendrann

You scratch my back. I scratch yours

What's new? Lawyer & Lady Spy Boss made an excuse for not remembering the date of their court appearance. One former MB gave an MC for not appearing at a child molesting case. 1 corrupted lawyer gave an excuse that he was bitten by his dog ... anything to avoid facing the Judge!!

Send the lawyers to jail for contempt and failing to advise their client. Revoke her bail and throw her inside too

'She forgot court date' - lawyer on ex-spy chief's no-showThe law firm says they too forgot to remind Hasanah Abdul Hamid about the case management hearing. Hey, NajibRazak - you'd better stop talking about your vision and aspiration for the nation. How the heck could the nation's security be protected if you hired a senile ex-spy chief? Bloody hell! She couldn't even remember to attend court! There is this thing called smart phones introduced in the early 2000s, which allowed you to set reminder for your appointment. You don't have one of those?
