Abdul Shukor Ahmad says the top leadership should take a good look at its representatives and propose the necessary changes.

Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad recently gave his Cabinet members a score of 50%.

Abdul Shukor Ahmad said the top leadership could suggest who should be replaced in order to meet the aspirations of the people who had voted for a new government at last year’s general election. In a recent blog post, A Kadir Jasin had urged ministers, chief ministers and state exco members to resign if they failed to meet the mark after a year of holding their positions.“If there are those who are still crawling and feeling around a year after being given this opportunity, then it is our responsibility to ask them to reconsider their positions and, if need be, to voluntarily leave so that others can replace them,” he said.“In my understanding, this is an average score.

He also said it was too much to expect Mahathir to drop non-performing ministers as he was now leading a “fragile coalition”, unlike his first stint as prime minister.

Cabinet appointees r purely political in nature, b it during then-BN or PH-now. It does not look good 2 a party concerned, specifically, when their member resign or asked 2 resigned.

Just a bunch of incompetents, except for the PM. This will be a one-term government.
