Jeffrey Greenberg/UIG via Getty Images: Chick-fil-A has increasingly become fast food’s ground zero in the culture wars, as conservative Texas lawmakers stand poised to pass a so-called Save Chick-fil-A law that would protect businesses with close ties to religious groups or charities from bans. The restaurant chain has been subject to bans in San Antonio and Buffalo, New York.

And while the company stopped donating to political organizations after the uproar, newly released tax filings show that Chick-fil-A’s nonprofit arm still donates to organizations that activists say discriminate against LGBTQ people, including the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Paul Anderson Youth Home, and the Salvation Army, according to progressive media outletIn addition to San Antonio, Buffalo also banned Chick-fil-A from the city’s airport.
