WILMINGTON, Del - A U.S. appeals court ruled on Friday that President Donald Trump cannot end a program that shielded from deportation immigrants brought into the country illegally as children, the second time the administration has lost an appeal on the issue.
Trump has taken a stern stance against illegal immigration. His administration announced plans in September 2017 to phase out DACA, arguing that Obama exceeded his constitutional powers when he bypassed Congress and created the program. Judge Robert King, appointed by Democratic President Bill Clinton, and Judge Albert Diaz, appointed by Obama, formed the majority. Judge Julius Richardson, who was appointed by Trump, dissented.
That is _not_ what the court ruled. The ruling was procedural: that any administration has to follow the law in _how_ it does something such as end DACA. This court ruling doesn't at all mean what your headline says. Fix your irresponsible headline !
Well it doesn’t stop at that court. It keeps going up. Why when the republicans had a plan for dreamers democrats did want to do shit about the dreamers. Dems make it sound like they care . In reality democrats could give a rats ass about anyone except themselves!
If he cannot then another president had no authority to put the protection in place
Deep State. We will pay for 2008 for years and years and years. 🙄
The best way to write stupid stories and make stupid comments on this subject is to ignore the key issue: the Administrative Procedure Act. But you be you.
So the judges think it's OK for Obama to rule by fiat and not OK when Trump does the same thing?
