BREAKING: Prosecutors in Victoria have lodged an appeal against the nine-year prison sentence for Borce Ristevski, who pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of his wife Karen. BACKGROUND:

Family members of Karen Ristevski say they've been denied justice after her husband Boris was sentenced to a minimum of six years jail for her manslaughter.

The judge said Ristevski acted with 'rank deceit' for refusing to admit responsibility for more than two years. The 55-year-old later entered a guilty plea to a lesser charge of manslaughter, but never explained how and why he killed his wife. Ms Ristevski's body was discovered in bushland almost eight months after she went missing in June 2016. Image: News Corp Australia
