Legal luminary, Femi Falana, lawyer, has mocked the position of the All Progressives Congress on the nationality of Atiku Abubakar, Nigeria’s former vice president.
Against this backdrop, the ruling party insisted that the Wazirin Adamawa was not qualified to contest for the just concluded presidential election.Reacting to the APC argument, Falana said it was an indictment on them for insisting Abubakar is originally from Cameroon. “If Atiku is a now Cameroonian, doesn’t that suggest that those who voted for President Buhari in his ward for the candidate are Cameroonian citizens too?” he asked.
He said: “What the country is currently witnessing in terms of increasing violence, banditry and insurgency is a sign of anarchy.
I think the lawyer is misquoted or, he wanted to make headlines today The lawyer aught to know rights to contest or vote in elections varies. Someone may not qualify to contest and same time qualified to vote in an election. Like not everyone in a comm is entitled to kingship
In USA, Obama's citizenship wasn't doubtful but if he was born in the USA. That accusation lingered untill Obama made his birth certificate public. APC do not say Atiku is not a Nigerian; rather, he is not a Nigerian by birth and, by the Nigerian Constitution not qualified.

I think the lawyer is misquoted or misconstrued, otherwise the lawyer is misinformed regards to contesting and voting in elections. Someone may not be qualified to contest in election and same time qualified to vote.
