Her appointment is effective May 2. She takes over from Tan Sri Richard Malanjum who retired on April 12.It was attended by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Liew Vui Keong, Chief Judge of Malaya Tan Sri Zaharah Ibrahim and Attorney-General Tommy Thomas.
In 1984, she took up the appointment as the legal officer at the Seremban Municipal Council for two years before joining the Drafting Division of the Attorney-General’s Chambers.
