Gerardo Mazzella has 'snubbed his nose' at the law and will be jailed when he is tracked down, a court has ruled.

A man who "snubbed his nose" at the law by continuing to defame a high-profile Sydney surgeon with claims of a botched surgery has had a warrant issued for his arrest and will be jailed for at least 18 months when he is found, a court has ruled.after he published websites and videos alleging he lost sensation in his penis after a hip operation performed by pioneering orthopaedic surgeon Dr Munjed Al Muderis in 2010.

Justice Rothman also issued a $40,000 fine, and ordered Mr Mazzella to pay Dr Al Muderis' costs, after describing Mr Mazzella's behaviour as "egregious", "extremely serious" and a "deliberate defiance of the authority of the Court"."The offender has shown no contrition or remorse.

It is understood Mr Mazzella currently lives in south-east Asia. The court has been provided with a list of his aliases, his date of birth, and his last known address in Sydney.
