Scores of Catholic women from across Ontario will be arriving in Sudbury this week for the Ontario provincial convention of the Catholic Women's League , where they will discuss social issues relevant to members of the Catholic church and things the women can do to help others.
"At the convention each diocesan president will be speaking about the project that was developed in their area that made a noticeable difference," said Squarzolo."Many people see the work of the League at the parish level but don’t realize the other aspects of the work we do," said Squarzolo. "These resolutions are brought to the convention, studied and a vote is taken on their adoption. Once a resolution is adopted, action is taken, such as making the government aware of the issue and calls for change," said Squarzolo.
