Indiana State Police say Bryson Muir “appeared safe and well” after he was found early Wednesday morning at the Logansport home of his parents, Daniel and Kristen Muir. Bryson was placed in the care of the Cass County Department of Child Services. His parents were taken into custody without incident, police say.
Bryson Muir was found at about 6 a.m. when a SWAT unit arrived at the family’s home with a search warrant, police say. He had last been seen just before 8 a.m. on June 16 leaving a family member’s residence in Cleveland with Kristen Muir, according to a news release from police. A Silver Alert was issued on Friday, June 28, after Daniel Muir and his wife reportedly backed out of an agreement to meet with police, saying they would bring along Bryson.
