The wheels of justice may slow as public sector workers in the Perth CBD, including staff at the courts and police headquarters, gather to demand an improved pay offer from the state government.

WA public sector workers will take rolling action at lunchtime in the Perth CBD on Wednesday to demand an improved pay offer from the state government. The public are unlikely to be affected by the lunchtime walkout but the union says action may escalate as negotiations continue.

WA's Community and Public Sector Union, Civil Service Association is currently negotiating a new agreement for around 44,000 public sector workers in a range of departments. "Our delegates overwhelmingly rejected the first offer and committed to starting some rolling action to send the message to the Cook government that we needed a better offer on the table," Ms Bray said.Ms Bray said the government had also ignored the union's request for a trial of a four-day working week, and for bigger allowances for staff in regional Western Australia.Western Australia's public services union is calling for a radical overhaul of the working week.

"Our members are really cognisant that the services they deliver have potential to have significant impact to the public of Western Australia. 'Is this really ethical?' Iris sees her product being copied weekly, but she can't afford to do anything about it
