A man accused of attempting to kill a woman known to him by stabbing her multiple times in Perth’s hills has appeared in court. Christopher John Sullivan, 72, was charged with attempting to unlawfully kill the 60-year-old woman in Gooseberry Hill on Tuesday afternoon.

Gooseberry Hill man charged with trying to kill woman. The woman sustained stab wounds to her torso and neck and is currently fighting for life in Royal Perth Hospital. Dressed in a blue forensic jumpsuit, Sullivan appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday. Sullivan said he understood the charge against him and told the magistrate he was “not fussed” about seeking legal advice because “I’m going to plead guilty anyway”.
