CAPE TOWN - A man implicated in the murder of City of Cape Town official Wendy Kloppers is expected to return to the Cape Town Magistrate's Court on Thursday.

Kloppers visited the site to conduct an inspection in February last year when she was allegedly mistaken for a woman who won the construction contract.City Human Settlements Mayco Member, Carl Pophaim has welcomed the arrest.

"The city has shown and we will continue to show that we will act against anyone and everyone who wants to destabilise our construction sector and allow organised crime and construction mafias to infiltrate the work that we do."
