A 73-year-old interstate tourist accused of attempting to kidnap a six-year-old girl at an Adelaide caravan park over the Easter long weekend has been released on bail.He allegedly asked the girl if she would like to see"a clown in the camp kitchen"Magistrate Stefan Metanomski heard Queensland man Ronald Toft allegedly approached the young girl near a playground at the West Beach Caravan Park about 11:00am on Good Friday.
He allegedly told her there was a"clown in the camp kitchen" and asked her if she wanted to go and see it.The Port Adelaide Magistrates Court heard the man walked off but the girl's family then called the police. The following day, Mr Toft, who was visiting Adelaide with his wife and staying at the caravan park, was arrested by police and charged with attempted kidnapping.
So I guess the kicker is was there a clown, not just in the kitchen, anywhere in the caravan park?
Well that's pretty damn horrid if true. Hopefully it's all a misunderstanding.
I want to see a clown
