A man is due before court after Gardaí seized €285,000 worth of various controlled drugs and a firearm during a search operation in Portlaoise.
During the course of the search operation, large quantities of suspected cannabis herb, cocaine and MDMA were seized, as well as a small quantity of suspected cannabis resin. The total value of drugs seized is €285,000. Gardaí have charged a man, who was arrested during a search operation in Portlaoise, Co. Laois on Sunday. He appeared before Portlaoise District Court this afternoon, Tuesday 18 June, at 2pm. A Garda spokesperson confirmed that investigations into this arrest are ongoing.
