In a 6-3 decision, the conservative majority on the Supreme Court ruled that the Justice Department during the Trump administration overstepped its authority when it banned bump stocks, which modify semiautomatic weapons so that they can fire faster.

WASHINGTON — Sen. Jacky Rosen, D-Nev., tore into Sen. JD Vance, R-Ohio, on Monday over remarks he made about bump stocks as the Senate grapples with whether to ban them.
