On Thursday, after four weeks of a murder trial at the Victorian Supreme Court, defence lawyers for Greg Lynn called on their most high-profile witness yet: Greg Lynn himself.
Mr Lynn described to the court the "difficult task" of burning the remains of Mr Hill and Ms Clay, months after their deaths. Despite returning to the scene to destroy evidence and extensively remodelling his car to avoid detection, Mr Lynn said he hid everything from his wife. Mr Lynn said he had failed to properly secure the gun, allowing Mr Hill to grab it following an argument between the two.
Mr Lynn's account of events describes himself and Mr Hill struggling for control of Mr Lynn's 12-gauge shotgun, which Mr Hill had seized following an argument.
