The eldest of three teenage girls charged over a Noosa torture incident has been sentenced.A 16-year-old who tortured a younger teenage girl for four hours at a Noosa home last year has walked free from a Queensland court.
Judge Gary Long sentenced her over the torture incident as well as "repeated and recent" offending this year that included assaulting a youth support worker in an attempt to steal a vape, and stealing alcohol from two liquor shops. She was ordered to complete 160 hours of community service, and comply with conditions including rehabilitation programs, psychology assessments, and treatment.The court heard the 16-year-old is the subject of a long-term guardianship order, and is under the care of the state.The teenager's defence barrister Simon Lewis told the court "her parents have failed her"."When she visits her father she gets black-out drunk with him.
