A jail sentence and a period of probation have been imposed on a northern Cape Breton man on host of charges.
Rocky Daniel Buchanan, 45, was sentenced on three counts of breaching court orders and two counts of assault causing bodily harm.Buchanan, of Sugar Loaf, was sentenced to complete a nine-month sentence to be followed by a two-year probation period. He was also ordered to submit a DNA sample to the national registry and is banned from possessing weapons for life.A Glace Bay man has been sentenced on a host of charges while several others were dismissed.
John Frederick Peach, 40, was sentenced on five counts of breaching court orders, two counts of resisting arrest, two counts of theft and a single count of carrying a weapon dangerous to public peace.Having been credited with 486 days spent on remand, Peach was sentenced to one day in jail served by his presence in court.
