The mother of two young brothers who drowned in a Townsville river has been charged over their deaths.

The boys, aged three and five, were reported missing on February 25, sparking a wide scale search.

Their bodies were pulled from the Ross River the following morning. The 47-year-old woman is facing two counts of manslaughter. She is due to front the Townsville Magistrate's Court. Image: News Corp Australia
